Feel the Beat

Hey all. apologies for the delayed post. finally recovered frm my flu!(: anyway i was watching the live telecast of Michael Jackson's memorial. i was moved to tears by the speeches made, the emotions of his family and friends, the floodgates were especially opened when Paris said those simple words about her father.

Indeed Michael Jackson has touched all of our lives, across the world, he united all colours, races, black, white, yellow and more. When i first heard of the death of MJ on thursday, i was in shock. During the past week, my family like the rest of the world had the "MJ fever" we dug out all of his albums, concert DVDs, Videos of his No 1. hits that we had and had ourselves a Michael Jasckson marathon. Reminiscing over the times we jumped, danced and sang to his music, his trademark moves. Though he constantly undergone alot of trials and judgement over his personal life, but MJ continued to shine and channeled all his energy and love into his music and dances. *for the record, i do NOT believe in any allegations that was brought against MJ, to me MJ was just a kid at heart, some may find his "obsession" with children strange, but i do believe that he empathized with the children and gave all that he could to give them a childhood that he could not have. MJ was indeed pure genius, i do agree not only the king of pop but the greatest entertainer the world has ever seen, the starter of many trends bringing music to greater heights, choreographing his trademark moves (moonwalk, the anti-gravity lean and many more) that were oh so sleek, sparking the military trend and introducing a new era of music videos after the release of Thriller, now that he has passed, a shadow has been cast over the music industry.

Michael Jackson, you will continue to live on in our hearts and speak to us through your music. Thank You for being such an inspiration. Indeed, we salute you.
